gold pendent

Gold pendent
This small gold statuette represents Thoth, the scribe-god, shown with a human body and the head of an ibis. On top of his tripartite wig are the lunar disc and crescent. Behind his head is a small ring with the aid of which the statuette could be strung to a collar as an amulet. The pendent was made in a mould using the lost-wax process.
